My first memory of Wayne and his company was when we bought a patio home in one of his developments for me to live as my first home. In January 1997 I came home late from teaching and had no idea that one of Murfreesboro’s biggest tornados was following me home. I had been home for not long when it came barreling through Black Fox Crossing and in its path was my house. It sustained damage and as you can imagine as a young single girl, I was terrified. My parents made it to me first, but do you know who was right behind them? Wayne Belt! He was there to check on me and assess my damage. He walked me through all that needed to be repaired, helped me work through my insurance claim and had the repairs done in no time. But what has stayed with me the most is that he cared about ME and has always remembered me.
Fast forward several years. My parents, remembering that special connection and work ethic, called upon Wayne Belt again because he was developing a new patio home community at Savannah Ridge. My Dad was in declining health and needed some handicap assessable features in a house. They worked with Wayne on building their new home. The day of the final walk through my Dad took a wrong step out of the vehicle and broke his hip. Wayne’s employees who were on site notified him that my Dad was on his way to the hospital. At the time my parents were taking care of my infant son. Wayne Belt met my parents at the emergency room, and he sat with my mom and my son until I could get there. He
also went out of his way to coordinate a legal document so my mom could sign to close the house that day. He knew they had to be in the house immediately and my Dad would most definitely need it so that it would accommodate his needs. I am grateful to Wayne Belt and his company for always delivering the very best service, being honest and dependable but most importantly being compassionate humans!”
